Traditional Archival Photo-prints signed
There was a time when art was carefully photographed
and produced one by one with a photographic enlarger.
This style has fallen by the wayside with digital cameras and digital presses.
The difference is, digital prints are formed by pixels, squares.
A computer can read about 64,000 variations in color.
The human eye can see about 7 million.
Its similar to vinyl records verses a digital recording.
If you looked through a magnifying glass on an archival photoprint,
it would not pixilate.
A discerning eye, like a discerning ear can tell the difference
in richness of color or tone.
We have a few pre-digital prints on Fuji Crystal Archival paper in our studio.
They need to be matted and framed under glass to keep them perfect.
All archival prints should be kept out of direct sun.
They come on foam core to protect them in shipping,
they are signed by the artist. When these are gone, there are no more.
